Welcome to my Final Major Project, Cornish Imprints
For my Final Major Art Project, ‘Cornish Imprints’, I will
be visiting Cornwall to look at the formal qualities of the environment through the form of the land, it's textures and colours. Engaging directly with the Cornish Coast. I will be exploring ways to record a
place, through various mediums, creating works that are inspired by the land and sea.
I think your work is fantastic ! I love the way you have brought together the different textures and I think it really shows the contrasting elements of Cornwall that we love so well.
ReplyDeleteWell done Sophie, your work looks great, so proud of you.
ReplyDeleteGreat exhibition, the sound of the sea and seagulls bring back memories of our holidays in Cornwall.
ReplyDeleteI like the large size of the Sea Canvas, the pigment, colours and texture remind me of the Cornish Coast. The Quayside Rubbing has also captured the overpowering strong and safe harbour wall.
I think you could further develop this idea by creating a rubbing on a much larger canvas as big as the wall. Well done I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Excellent exhibition. Video showing the processes was very interesting, with the sound of seagulls calling it brought Cornwall seascape to life. I also liked the visiting cards.
